Is chocolate the culprit?
For the past 10 years I've been heavily addicted to chocolate and would get irritable, and depressed and moody when I didn't have any for more than 3 days. Well I kicked the habit with ease, after the initial withdraw symptoms I got to where I didn't even really think about it. That was a year ago. I suffer from hypertension a lot of the time, and have controlled it with carbs enough in the mornings. So I thought, this candy is on sale, I'll get some and just have a few pieces a day. So it went great, few pieces here and there each day, and nothing bad happened. Now however, I and my family have noticed that I have been seriously irritable and mad all the time since I began to eat the chocolate again. I'm not dealing with PMS, stress is normal, and I was just wondering aside from all else, could the chocolate be the culprit of my uncharacteristic irritability?
