Considering dropping Law school(1st yr) and pursuing a sociology degree?

What i deducted after a year in Law school is that if you are not committed to becoming a barrister or solicitor and did not get your degree at a top10 university(uk) is not worth it, for me at least. I am considering this alternative as Law exposed me, even to a small degree, in subjects like Sociology, Philosophy even Psychology. Would it be a prudent in pursuing such a degree?
