Can I sue for slander in the newspaper article?

I'm not really sure if this is considered slander. But the newspaper headline (front page) was Blan police (*arrest*) vandalism suspects. We were never once arrested or read our rights. They questioned me and I admited to it. Then it said we were arrested. People are constantly asking if i was arrested.
