Why do they say boxing is dead? Don't make me laugh.?

Pacquio, Khan, Mayweather, Haye, and these are just the names I can think off of the top of my tired head (it's 12 o'clock and it's been a long day). There is so many potential big fights out there. So many young, up and comin fighters. Ok, three of those I mentioned are not exactly young, but there are lots of young fighters coming up. Here in Britain, we have so many up and coming fighters, and there are many many big domestic and world title fights involving domestic fighters, I just cannot understand why they say it is dead. I read a newspaper article recently that said more kids than ever are taking up boxing.
