Which make and model of prestigious cars on the mass market would a well-to-do barrister or surgeon own?

Now, by mass market I don't mean exquisite bespoke automobiles like Bentley's, Rolls', Lamborghini. I mean a car you can by out of a dealership in the UK, but at the same time are considered top of the line and socially prestigious.
